21 Life Stories of Leadership, Courage, and Hope
The book "Women Write Hope" is an initiative by Dror Rubin and Ghadir Hani, with professional guidance from Prof. Amia Lieblich. The book compiles 21 inspiring life stories of Jewish, Muslim, Christian, Druze, and Bedouin women working across Israeli society for shared living, peace, equality, and social justice.
In days when many feel hope fading, the book seeks to highlight in the public sphere the uncompromising commitment of women who chose not to give up. Their life stories, their childhoods, their work, and the dilemmas that accompany them serve as a moral compass and a beacon of hope.
In Memory of the Late Vivian Silver
The book is dedicated with love and deep gratitude to the memory and legacy of the late Vivian Silver, a peace and social justice activist who was killed on October 7, 2023. Vivian, a close partner in this work, believed wholeheartedly that the only way to live in safety and freedom is through peace. We continue on her path toward a future of peace and shared living.
From the Book to the Field: Hope Gatherings and Workshops
The book is not only a documentary and literary work, but a living space for dialogue and human encounter. Around the book, we offer a range of gatherings and community events for organizations, local authorities, educational institutions, and communities:
- Launch Events and Reading and Dialogue Sessions: Community events including readings from the book, open discussion, and a direct encounter with the book's initiators and with writers and interviewees from among the 21 protagonists.
- "Women Envisioning Hope" Session (Lecture and Panel): A session facilitated by Ghadir and Dror on women's leadership and community social work for peace and shared living.
- Learning and Dialogue Workshops for Organizations: In-depth workshops based on the life stories in the book, as a tool for processing conflicts, developing community resilience, and cultivating compassionate communication.
International Editions
Alongside the Hebrew and English editions, the book is being translated into additional editions (including Arabic, French, and German), to bring the voices of the women of hope to international audiences and Diaspora communities.
